How did museums get their start? Why do we collect artifacts? If your story was told in a museum, what object would represent your life? In this workshop, participants will answer these questions and learn how to document and exhibit artifacts of their own. Each child will need to bring in one object from home. The chosen item should have some special meaning to the child or the family that the child can explain in his or her own words in two or three sentences. The objects will be on exhibit at the museum from June 30 - August 9, 2026.
Cost: Free for members; $5.00 per child for non-members
Best suited for children ages 8-12.
