Join us for a delightful cooking class where our junior chefs and their chaperones get to roll up their sleeves and cook up a full meal inside a commerical kitchen. This hands-on experience is perfect for beginners or emerging chefs who want to cook like pros!
In our cozy kitchen, we sprinkle in essential culinary skills, a dash of cooking terminology, and a generous helping of kitchen safety. But don't just take our word for it. Hear from happy parent Jessica Tappana, who shared, "My kiddo learned to be a better listener, the value of following directions, basic cutting and baking skills, how to scramble an egg, kitchen hygiene & about a million other invaluable life skills!"
Every class is an unforgettable experience for one adult and one child (ages 7-15) at only $125 with no extra processing fees or hidden charges.
Menu:
🧀 Grilled Cheese with Optional Bacon: We'll start off by making a classic comfort food - grilled cheese1. Our junior chefs will learn how to perfectly toast the bread to a golden brown and melt the cheese inside for that irresistible stretch. For those who want to add a bit of extra flavor and crunch, we'll have bacon available as an optional addition.

🍅 Tomato Soup: To pair with our grilled cheese, we'll be whipping up a homemade tomato soup2. This soup is rich, creamy, and the perfect complement to the sandwich. It's also a great way to learn about blending flavors and creating smooth textures in cooking.

🧁 Cupcake Decorating: For dessert, we'll be unleashing our creativity with cupcake decorating. We'll provide the cupcakes, buttercream icing, couplers, piping bags, and tips. A highlight of this activity will be demonstrating how to make roses with the icing, giving the cupcakes a beautiful and professional finish.

Our classes are held at Como Cooks shared commercial kitchen, located at 14 Business Loop 70 E in Columbia, Missouri. We also offer private classes for groups of 6-8 people. Just drop us a line to check availability.
