Join Jungle Jane's Plant Shop for our second monthly terrarium workshop as we create a beautiful coastal-themed open terrarium at Yoder's Red Barn Shoppes in Shipshewana, Indiana!
This workshop will be held in the commons area, with doors opening at approximately 9:00 AM. The experience is expected to last 45–60 minutes.
Every month, we feature a unique, aesthetically pleasing, Pinterest-worthy project centered around plants. This month's design brings the beach indoors with air plants, succulents, sea glass, shells, and charming coastal accents.
Your workshop ticket includes everything needed to complete your project, though you're welcome to upgrade your plants or add additional accessories to make your creation uniquely yours.
Only 10 seats are available, so gather your plant-loving friends and reserve your beach chair today!
Please note: The image shown is a mock-up. We will be creating a finished sample later this week as we acquire the final glassware. We are currently considering either a 7.5" x 6" pillar vessel or an 8.25" x 10" bubble globe, depending on final design layout.
Workshop Experience:
1. Pick your vessel
2. Choose your plants (2 air plants and 1 succulent plug)
3. Select your beach chair, lighthouse, 5" fence section, and seagull accent
4. Grab a cup of white pre-washed beach sand
5. Find 8 shells and 8 pieces of sea glass that speak to you
6. Create your decorative beach landscape
7. Arrange your plants and coastal accessories
8. Add optional trinkets, rocks, or fairy garden accents for extra flair
After-Care Instructions
Your air plants will need their first drink around July 1st.
• Every two weeks, soak air plants in rainwater, spring water, or filtered water for 20–30 minutes.
• Gently shake off excess water.
• Allow plants to dry upside down for several hours before returning them to the terrarium.
• Repeat every two weeks.
Water your succulent or cactus only as needed, allowing the soil to dry between waterings.
