Juneteenth Plant Experience-Rooted In Liberation
About this Event
Join us for an immersive evening of plant rituals, tastes, storytelling, and botanical remembrance honoring plant traditions carried through the African diaspora.
This gathering explores how plants have long supported nourishment, cleansing, resilience, celebration, and liberation within African American communities. Together we will slow down and engage the senses through shared plant experiences rooted in memory, culture, and connection.
The evening unfolds with:
• A guided plant infused meditation
• Hands on Plant experience
• food memories that survived colonialism
• Storytelling and discussion centered on African diasporic plant traditions
This is a living experience of relationship, remembrance, and community.
