Join us Friday 6/19 5:00-10:00 PM at the South Euclid Food Truck Park to celebrate Juneteenth. Our 6th annual event honors the historic moment on June 19, 1865 when the last remaining enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas learned of their freedom two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth has grown to become a day of reflection, unity, and celebration for all Americans as a Federal holiday. Led by Councilwoman Chanell Elston-Ivy, the event features an evening full of activities including artisan vendors, poetry readings and:
