Dr. Opal Lee, born October 7, 1926, is considered to be the grandmother of Juneteenth given her activism to make it a federally recognized holiday. Enjoy a special conversation and trailer screening with Dione Sims, granddaughter of Dr. Opal Lee, and filmmaker Laura Williams. Hear inspiring stories about her legacy and the women continuing the fight for freedom.

The first 50 attendees will receive a free Dr. Opal Lee book.
