This commemorative event honors the spirit of Juneteenth in our community and celebrates the unsung heroes among us. The top three candidates will be selected by the Juneteenth committee, and their nominations will be publicized in the local newspaper and on the City of Natchez website. Additionally, this event serves as a fundraiser for the Joe Frazier Extended Education and Cultural Enrichment Center hosted by the Pretty Girls with Brains and Southwest Wellness Association of Mississippi. Whether or not your candidate is selected, we kindly ask for your support through donations to the center. In true community spirit, let us remember that charity starts at home, and together, we can make a meaningful difference in our community.
