About this Event

The Juneteenth BASH (Black Authors Spotlight on Heritage) returns for its third year, bringing together authors, readers, families, and dreamers for an unforgettable afternoon rooted in literacy, culture, and connection.

Held at the historic Martin Luther King Jr. Branch of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, this one-of-a-kind literary festival celebrates Black voices, honors heritage, and creates space for stories that deserve to be seen, heard, and passed on.

What to Expect:

  • Meet and support over 50 talented authors across genres
  • Live podcast interviews on the red carpet—yes, we’re doing it big
  • Spoken word, music, and storytelling that lingers long after you leave
  • Interactive children’s book creation experience (because legacy starts early)
  • Food trucks, photo moments, and a whole lot of joy
  • A vibrant, welcoming space for readers of all ages

Even as funding for cultural festivals tightens, we’re still here. Still building. Still growing. Still choosing us. Because Black literature isn’t a moment it’s a legacy. So come walk the aisles, meet the authors, discover your next favorite read, and be part of something that feeds both the mind and the soul.
