June: Volunteer with MyHometown

Hi friends! I'm so excited for this month's activity with MyHometown. This is a nonprofit focused on strengthening neighborhoods and we get to help with that work on Wednesday, June 10th.

This is an activity where you can bring your whole family and the more the merrier!

What to expect:

Please arrive Wednesday morning by 8 am. We will have everyone sign in, have a short safety talk, and then go to the projects.

Children are most welcome if accompanied by an adult. Volunteers should bring gloves and a hat or sunscreen. Everything else is provided. This will be an opportunity to share love with others and improve lives.

June's topic: Limited Access to Resources

Get Curious: In some neighborhoods, families face extra challenges when essential resources are farther away or harder to reach. Limited access to quality healthcare, nutritious food, and safe community spaces can affect daily life and long-term wellbeing. Thoughtful neighborhood revitalization guided by local voices and built on respect for those who already call the area home can bring new energy, opportunity, and pride without pushing people out. When communities invest together in these efforts, everyone benefits from a healthier, more connected place to live.
