This is a 3 part Lindy Hop swing dance class on Thursdays, an hour of class and an hour of social dancing afterwards. Note that our Thursday classes are a progressive series, if you are a beginner dancer you will have to make it to the first class (the first Thursday of each month) or you will miss important information and be behind in class.
This series focuses on musicality and texture, how to make your dancing feel more in tune with the music and your partner instead of a list of moves. This is encouraging the leads and the follows to feel the music and the dance, and either take the moment to shine by themselves or encourage the partnership to break from the basics together to hit the music.
No partner needed, beginner friendly- beginners please make sure to make it to the first class of the series to learn the basic footwork
Located downstairs in the Historic USO building in downtown Wilmington, at Orange and 2nd St
Per class $10, or pre-pay for all 3 classes for only $20! Cash and venmo at the door
We suggest clothes that are comfortable to exercise in and if you can wear shoes that are not too grippy on the floor that will make any spins and movement easier! Feel free to reach out or ask any additional questions that would make you more comfortable getting started with swing dancing or showing up for your first class!
