Back in the 1620s, before Michigan became a state, the French began exploring the New World. They were the first to build forts in the Great Lakes region and begin trading with the Native American tribes. Join us to see artifacts that both parties would have been trading. Free for members and Muskegon County residents, $5 for out-of-county. These free family programs are underwritten by Howmet Aerospace. This activity is supported by the MICHIGAN ARTS AND CULTURE COUNCIL and the NATIONAL ENDOWMENT FOR THE ARTS.
