I am happy to announce that our permit has been APPROVED by the City of Cambridge for our June event and I have it in my hand!
For June we will be sampling the Caribbean deliciousness of Irie Myrie’s. I have wanted us to support this spot for so long, but had to wait until the warmer weather - they don’t have much seating capacity. So let’s have a picnic!
I have ordered Caribbean food from one end of the country to the other, and they’re serving up some of the best. That’s not subjective- it’s fact 😝
This will be taking place Saturday, June 27th, at Riverside Park - starting at 4 PM. We will be in the Kin area. This is the sheltered area behind the skate park. There will be private parking and washrooms there for us.
The cost of this dinner will be $30 per person. On the menu you will find:
- Jerk Chicken
- Fried Chicken
- Oxtail
- Rice & Beans
- Plantains
- Festivals/Dumplin
- Mixed Vegetables
- Pasta Salad
- Non- alcoholic drinks
There will be no 50/50 draw for June but there will be some special prizes to draw for, games, and of course, some Caribbean Music. There are picnic tables in the shelter so no need to lug your camping chairs, unless you prefer them.
When you are ready, you can e-transfer your money to [email protected]. I will need to know who all is coming by mid June to ensure enough is ordered.
