June meeting

Over the past month, we have:
• Secured a $12,000 Amplify Missouri grant to strengthen voter registration, volunteer recruitment, and community outreach efforts.
• Organized voter registration activities for Pride in the Park and Juneteenth celebrations.
• Expanded our volunteer network and begun building a stronger precinct and neighborhood-based organization.
• Increased outreach to community organizations, labor groups, and local leaders throughout Southeast Missouri.
• Hosted a Congressional Candidate Forum, giving voters an opportunity to hear directly from candidates seeking to represent Missouri's 8th Congressional District and helping strengthen civic engagement in our region.
• Continued recruiting and supporting Democratic candidates who are willing to stand up for public education, voting rights, healthcare, and working families.
• Advanced planning for our largest fundraiser of the year, the Southeast Missouri Democracy Dinner on July 11 featuring Jess Piper.
• Improved communication through regular meetings, emails, social media outreach, and event promotion.
Most importantly, we are building momentum. Every volunteer, every conversation, every voter registration form, and every event helps strengthen our ability to create positive change in Southeast Missouri.
June will be an important month. We have opportunities to engage with our community at Pride in the Park, Juneteenth celebrations, and our monthly meetings. These events allow us to listen, connect, and continue building a movement focused on putting people first.
Please review the attached June calendar and consider joining us at one or more events. Whether you volunteer, attend a meeting, help register voters, or simply bring a friend, your involvement matters.
Together, we can build a stronger organization, a stronger community, and a stronger democracy.
Thank you for your support and commitment.
