June Celtic Society Book Club - The Mabinogion

As we head into the dreamy magic of the mid-summer season, why not dip our toes into the mysterious waters of a classic of ancient Welsh literature, The Mabinogion! A medieval masterpiece drawing on myth, folklore, and history, The Mabinogion consists of some of the earliest surviving prose stories in Celtic culture. These fantastical tales of Celtic mythology and early Arthurian romance feature dragons, monsters, knights, and a murder-plotting maiden made entirely of flowers!
Please join us on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 6p-8p in the Victorian Room of McMullan’s Irish Pub to travel back in time to the “misty Celtic past of has been and never was.” You only need read the introduction and one of these eleven other-worldly stories to share with your fellow travelers!

The Celtic Society Book Club is open to all interested, even if you don’t have time to finish the book! All are welcome to come share in the conversation and camaraderie.
