Bio:
Dr. Lee Mangold, CISSP, is the founder of OpenGRC and the CISO at Fortress Information Security. Lee is a longtime cybersecurity engineer and executive with deep roots in high-growth startups, defense, and critical infrastructure. He also co-founded the Florida Cyber Alliance and is the past-president of the Central Florida ISSA.

In this presentation, Dr. Mangold will share his experience in building OpenGRC from idea to enterprise deployment using modern technologies and designing for security. Attendees will learn about the tools and technologies available to todays small business startups and how to leverage them properly to enable security, scalability, and simplicity. We will also discuss the audit and compliance aspects involved in building a cyber startup. Attendees will leave with an understanding of what is possible – and where to start – when you merge a great idea with modern PaaS and IaaS technologies.

Bio:
Gabe is a veteran cybersecurity expert with over 25 years of experience. His background includes leadership of complex cybersecurity initiatives in large corporations, including heading Pfizer's Application Security. He has been extensively involved in the hacking community since 1996, with over 20 years of participation in DefCon. Gabe has conducted groundbreaking research on privacy issues related to AWS S3 buckets, identifying 350,000 open access buckets with 80% containing sensitive data. He brings expertise in ethical hacking, having built and operated a web application hacking program covering 2,500 applications. Gabe's unique blend of technical prowess, leadership experience, and cutting-edge research makes him a valuable voice in the cybersecurity space.
