Jump Into Play

Jump Into Play is a 3-week parent-tot physical literacy program for preschoolers with special needs. November 7, 21, 28, 2025 *Note there is no session on November 14th.

Get ready to play together with your child in fun and engaging fundemental movement skills. Through structured and unstructured play we will create movement activities focused on learning and practices catching/throwing skills, movement stations, circle time, active games and more.

Through these activities we will have the opportunity to practice turn taking, transitions, playing with and near others and developing connections with others.

This is a play based program offered by TVCC therapists

This program is best suited for children who are 'group ready'. Consider if your child is ready to:

• Enter into the group space with minimal support/prompts
• Follow one and two step directions (verbal or physical direction)
• Respond to 'stop' and 'not available'
• Readiness to take direction from the group leader

Parents/caregivers MUST participate with their child.

This program will focus on the following goals:

• Increase physical literacy and play skills though games, songs, movement activities.
• Practice skills in unstructured and structured play and fundemental movement skills
• Learn about and try equipment that support fundemental movement skills
