JUMP #1: Drum Beat!The opening concert in the JUMP series places the drums front and centre — the engine room of modern music and the instrument that shapes feel, movement, and momentum.
Curated by Nigel Hope, this performance explores the drum kit as both rhythmic foundation and expressive lead voice. Crossing styles and textures, the evening highlights the instrument’s range — from subtle pulse and restraint to raw power and complexity — and the musicianship required to make rhythm speak.
Held at Kickstart Arts Centre, JUMP #1 invites audiences to experience music from the inside out, where timing, space, and energy drive everything that follows.
