July Pitch Meeting

Join us on Saturday, July 11 from 3–5pm for the next Bay Area Indies Pitch Meeting! This is a free, in-person event where filmmakers can pitch their short film projects and cast/crew can hear what projects are in need of help. It's THE BEST WAY to get your film off the ground AND find a production to gain experience!
We need at least 6 pitchers to make this worth while -- please sign up by June 30 to help us plan accordingly.

When: Saturday, July 11 | 3–5pm
Where: Mission Police Station Community Room, 630 Valencia St., San Francisco
Afterward: We’ll head to Dalva for more discussion, drinks, and networking

** How does it work? **
Doors open at 3pm. Pitches will begin around 3:20pm.
Each pitch will be 3 minutes long. If you finish early, you may use the rest of your time for Q&A.
Pitches will happen in the order people signed up. After the pitches, we’ll have time for networking in the room until 5pm. Walk around and talk to anyone who had an interesting pitch.

** What should I pitch? **
We recommend pitching a short film project at any stage of production, but we'd like you to have at least a draft script already written.
You should include:
* The title and length of your film
* A logline
* What stage the project is in
* What roles or resources you’re looking for
* When you expect to need help -- such as when and where your shoot will be

** Can I pitch a feature? **
This event is designed primarily for short films, because the goal is to actually make a film! And shorts are great for our community and indie resources.

** Is this a funding pitch? **
No. This meeting is about finding your crew and your cast, so you can make your film.

** Can I attend if I don't have a pitch? **
Yes, absolutely, and bring a friend!
We strongly encourage actors, crew members, students, and anyone interested in getting involved in filmmaking to come through. All experience levels are welcome. Hear what people are making and find a project you can join.
