July 6, 13, 20, 27
7:00 — Lindy Hop 200 (4 weeks)
Lindy 200 is focused on skill building and expanding your creativity on the social floor. Topics will be a grab bag and won’t necessarily link from one class to another — might be building vocabulary, musicality, rhythm variations, solo movement, stylings, etc. Drop-in friendly! Suggested prerequisites are familiarity with the swingout, circle, send out, pass by, and tuck turn.
8:15 — Lindy Hop 103 (4 week series)
Lindy Hop 103 is the second part of a progressive 3-month track to give you a very strong base in social swing dance - great for new and experienced dancers alike. This session will have you exploring more rhythms, shapes and sequences to really get comfortable and creative in your social dancing. We recommend having attended 102 or having equivalent prior partnered swing dance experience, including some familiarity with triple steps and the swingout.
_____
Please arrive with enough time to check in or register so we can start as close to on time as possible.
After classes end (9:15-ish), we’ll open the floor for practice and play for about an hour+. Attendance at class is not required to join for the social hour. No cover, but donations are appreciated!
**To help fill the hour between class and the social, we’re offering the beginner series at a deep discount for students in the 200 series.
