July 4th Newsboys Remembrance
Advertisement
Join us as we honor the five boys who lost their lives in the Three Rivers steamboat fire, as well as the five who died in The Capital shooting and the Sun staff we lost in the past year. All are welcome.
Please bring sunhats, lawn chairs, cold drinks and breakfast snacks to share.
Also, note that the time has changed from previous years.
Feel free to invite anyone who might be interested in joining us.
Directions to the Newsboys: Enter Loudon Park through the gate at 3620 Wilkens Ave. At the big bell, make a slight left. Follow the road uphill and through a sharp left turn, then make the first right and another quick right. From there, it's a short, straight shot to the monument, in the Bethel section. Look for the only cars parked in the cemetery at that hour.
