July 4th. Family "Non-Motorized" Parade at Robert Reed Park

Join us for the Chincoteague Island Library Family Parade as we celebrate Independence Day together. This non‑motorized parade will travel around Robert Reed Park, rain or shine, and pets and motorized vehicles are not permitted.
Prizes will be awarded for the oldest and youngest participants, as well as for the largest family group.
Lineup will take place on the sidewalk behind the library, and the parade begins on Saturday, July 4 at 10 AM.
We invite everyone to add to the fun by decorating bikes, wagons, and baby carriages, and by wearing your best red, white, and blue outfit.
We even understand that Uncle Sam himself may be leading the parade around the park, so let’s make America’s 250th birthday a celebration to remember.
Prizes will be awarded at the conclusion of the parade.
