July 4th, Nationwide Bell Ringing
Here in Plainville. We will ring the Plainville Elementary School Bell. Joining our fellow historical sites around the nation in celebration of America’s 250th.
Churches and Historic Sites in every city across the United States are invited to toll bells 13 times at 2:00 PM ET on July 4, 2026 joining a nationwide bell ringing for #America250!
This symbolic gesture encourages communities to be part of a nationwide moment marking the 250th Anniversary of our nation's founding, simultaneously with The Liberty Bell in Philadelphia PA.
Please join the Plainville Historical Commission and help us celebrate! You will also have the chance to read the 162 names of our own American Revolution Heroes. As the Salute to Service Flag Garden will make a brief reappearance in front of the James Humphrey House. Focusing on the American Revolution.
