With a career defined by constant reinvention, Miles Davis continuously shaped and reshaped the sound of jazz, moving from bebop to cool jazz, post-bop to fusion, and beyond. His time in New York City, a hub of jazz innovation and culture, started with Juilliard. To mark the iconic alum's 100th birthday, Juilliard Jazz and the Apollo Theater present a series of multidisciplinary performances on the legendary Harlem stage, honoring some of Davis' landmark albums: Birth of the Cool, Bitches Brew, and Kind of Blue.

Join us before the performance for a preconcert lecture, moderated by author and Juilliard faculty member Fredara Hadley, in the Procope Theater at 6:30pm. There is no late seating. Please arrive early. Late comers will be seated at the discretion of house management. There is an overall 4 ticket limit per household for this event.
