P&T Knitwear is pleased to welcome back internationally acclaimed author Juhea Kim for a discussion and audience Q&A to celebrate the release of her newest book, : a vivid portrait of the Russian ballet world — where cutthroat ambition, ever-shifting politics, and sublime artistry collide — and an affecting meditation on love, forgiveness, and the making of an artist .

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
is the author of the novel , which was a finalist for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize and shortlisted for the Yasnaya Polyana Literary Award, Russia’s largest annual prize in literature. has been published around the world and is being adapted into a series. Kim is a graduate of Princeton University. Her writing has been published in Granta, the Times Literary Supplement, the Independent, Zyzzyva, Guernica, and other outlets. Born in Korea and raised in Portland, Oregon, Kim now lives in London.
ABOUT THE MODERATOR
is the author of , a finalist for the Center for Fiction’s 2018 First Novel Prize, and , named a best book of 2024 by GQ and others, which The New York Times called “superb” and “refreshing.” Rachel’s short work has appeared in One Story, The Rumpus, Electric Literature, and elsewhere. A cofounder of Ditmas Lit (Brooklyn, NY) and The Dream Away Reading Series (Becket, MA), and a creative writing instructor for institutions including Bennington College, Rachel has been appointed the 2024 Paris Writer in Residence by the Paris School of Arts and Culture, the American University of Paris, and the Centre Culturel Irlandais. She lives with her husband and two young children in Western Massachusetts.
