3 years on from the World Meeting of Families event, we are gathering again in this Jubilee year to celebrate a Jubilee of Families!We would love for you to join us. This event is open to everyone, but will have a special focus on families. The theme for the event, as for the Jubilee year is Pilgrims of Hope, and our theme scripture is from Psalm 119:90, "Your faithfulness endures to all generations".
It will be a time of coming together to connect with other Catholics from around the diocese, to have fun and socialise, to pray together, and to be formed in how we can best live as pilgrim's of hope in today's world.
Some sessions will be split into separate streams for adults, high schoolers, and primary school students, other sessions and activities will cater to the whole group. Sunday Mass will be included as part of the event.
We are very blessed to be joined by Brendan Malone from LifeNET NZ and the Left Foot Media YouTube channel. Brendan is travelling all the way from New Zealand to present the main content during the weekend. Our diocesan NET team will also be joining us and leading the sessions for high school students.
Accommodation:
The diocese has reserved all available cabins and camping sites at Discovery Parks Coolwaters, Yeppoon until April 1st. You will need to contact Coolwaters directly to book your accommodation and pay. You can contact Coolwaters at 4921 8905. Just let them know that you are part of the 'Catholic Diocese of Rockhampton' booking or quote the group reservation number 11005357.
If you live on the Capricorn Coast then there is the option of arriving at Coolwaters each day. They do charge a day fee of $5 per person over the age of 4 or $10 if you want to use the waterpark.
Meals:
Breakfasts will be self-catered in your cabin or campsite. Saturday dinner, Sunday lunch and Sunday dinner will be catered and shared together in the dining hall.

As accommodation is paid directly, your registration fees will just cover the three meals. Registration is $50 for adults and high school students and less for younger children. There are discounts and sponsorship available so please reach out if registration or accommodation fees will prevent you from attending.
