Program Start Time - 8:30 am to 10:00 am - Only 5 participant tickets per experience to allow for a more private and VIP Experience with our rescue volunteers.
During this 90-minute long experience discover the thrill of conservation with the all-new Jr. Sea Turtle Rescuer Experience at the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center! Designed especially for young ocean enthusiasts, this exciting program immerses kids in the incredible world of sea turtle rescue — giving them a front-row seat to the vital work our NBSTCC Rescue Team does every day.
The adventure kicks off with an engaging presentation that unpacks the fascinating process of sea turtle rescue, complete with real stories and behind-the-scenes insights. Then, it’s time for hands-on action! Each Jr. Rescuer will meet a rescued lifelike model sea turtle and participate in all the critical steps our team members undertake: identifying species, taking measurements, recording scientific notes, and more — all under the guidance of a dedicated NBSTCC Rescue Team member, ensuring an authentic experience.
But the excitement doesn’t stop there! Young rescuers will get the chance to use the actual NBSTCC Sea Turtle Rescue UTV to simulate rescuing their own turtle through our specially designed pulley system — an adventure that’s both educational and unforgettable. Plus, every participant learns valuable STEM skills, making this experience not only fun but also enriching.
As a special keepsake, each Jr. Rescuer will receive a personalized certificate and an explorer bag packed with binoculars, a compass, fox whistle, flashlight, magnifying glass, and an in-field notebook — all tools to continue their exploration beyond the center.
And the best part? After completing their rescue mission, kids get exclusive early access to explore the Navarre Beach Sea Turtle Conservation Center before it opens to the public. It’s an unforgettable journey that inspires young minds to become passionate stewards of our oceans!
All ages are welcome but encouraged for 10 and up. Participants 12 years of age or younger, must be accompanied by an adult with a Guest Ticket. This experience is only offered once a twice a month, so get your tickets fast!
