JP Jitterbugs Solstice Dance!

The summer solstice is approaching! Maximum daylight is officially reached on June 21 this year, but it is on June 14th that JP Jitterbugs will hold its wild rumpus at Jamaica Pond celebrating the luxuriously long sunset.
Presiding over this rumpus as DJ will be none other than the wise, the wonderful, the one-in-a-million Yuwen Wong and Kevin Lin.
Schedule:
4:30pm-5:30pm Beginner lesson
5:30pm-6pm Break
6pm-sunset (20:22pm) Dancing!
Suggested donation:
$20 general
$10 student/senior
FREE for volunteers! Please email us at [email protected] if you would be willing to help out for half an hour at the door, and let us know your preference among these slots: 3:30-4, 4-4:30, 5:30-6, 6-6:30, 6:30-7, 7-7:30, 7:30-8.
We can accept donations by cash or Venmo. All donations go to support our mission: swing dancing in the JP area, enjoying nature, honoring the roots of the art form in pre-WWII Harlem, inclusivity, and live music.
Bring outdoor dance shoes and a water bottle!
