Many of you know the original launch was cancelled due to circumstances outside of my control. This moment reflects continuing amid obstacles and pursuing your goals.
This gathering is not just about me. It reflects a belief that we can move beyond surviving work to fostering workspaces that are meaningful, impactful, and human.
What to Expect
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM | Community Workshop: Designing a Joyful Workplace
A complimentary, practical workshop drawn from the Joyful Workplaces framework.
This session includes light reflection, optional discussion, and a simple exercise.
You can engage as much or as little as you would like. Share as little or as much as you like.
You'll have an opportunity to reflect on your work environment and leave with a perspective you can carry into Monday.
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM | Toast to Resilience, Cake Cutting, Networking & Lite Bites
A celebratory space with light music, cake, drinks, and time to connect.
Meet others across the DC–Baltimore area and connect with people across roles, backgrounds, and experiences.
Books
You will have the opportunity to purchase Joyful Workplaces and curated book gift sets.
You may bring the book back to your teams, colleagues, and organizations to continue the conversation and apply the concepts.
A Final Note
This is not just an author celebration.
It is a community celebration of resilience.
A space to reflect, connect, and consider what it might look like to approach work differently.
About the Author
Yolanda Fraction, M.Ed., is an organizational development consultant, researcher, and speaker with over 20 years of experience across consulting, nonprofit, government, education, and financial services. She holds a graduate degree in adult and organizational learning and is currently pursuing a PhD in industrial organizational psychology.
She humbly began her career as a classroom teacher and later moved into management consulting and leadership coaching. These experiences shape her people-first approach and how she partners with leaders to design more effective, human-centered workplaces.
She is the creator of Teamwork Sandbox, a platform focused on strengthening workplaces and supporting effective leaders. She is also the author of Joyful Workplaces.
The daughter of a community director, artist, and entrepreneur, Yolanda believes work should be purposeful and energizing. She blends research with lived experience to help organizations have an impact and achieve their goals.
