Joy of Jolabokaflod at On The Side Books

Jólabókaflóð (pronounced yo-la-bo-ka-flowth), or the Christmas Book Flood, is a beloved Icelandic holiday tradition where new books are given as Christmas Eve presents and read overnight with hot chocolate.
On Jolabokaflod Eve, come down to On The Side Books with a used book that you are willing to part with to exchange with another attendee. Supplies will be available for you to wrap it in brown paper and write a short description on the cover to draw in a new reader. Everyone will get the opportunity to go home with a "new to them" book to read on Christmas Eve. Additionally, homemade hot cocoa mix will be on hand to take home for the occasion.
***Any wrapped books left over after the event will be distributed in the Little Free Libraries on Christmas Eve.***
