JOY is a free, early hours, inclusive dance party created by Be Free Radio. Residents Jenene & Jesse C spin deep, afro, latin, jazzy, classic, soul, underground house grooves to dance to in Roundhead Brewing Co's spacious community room with featured guest Dis. We welcome special guest SavThaiSoul in September.
JOY collaborates with artists and healers sharing their craft with the community each month. We welcome student artists and Lift As We Climb, selling prints and raising funds for Boston art classroom materials in September.
Roundhead Brewing Co. makes their amazing craft brews onsite, and offer pizza options, as well as delicious empanadas by our friends at Chiqui's Kitchen. It was a beautiful season for the Be Free Radio Summer Series outdoors, and we're excited to continue the day-dancing good-vibes in the open space at Roundhead!
JOY is family-friendly and we value intergenerational, intersectional community. Anyone under the age of 21 must be accompanied at all times by an adult family member. Disrespect or discrimination is not tolerated. We dance to be free to the music of joy.
