Joy Clark Benefit Concert for DeKalb Dems

DeKalb Democrats and Pink Lion Jazz Club are co-sponsoring a benefit concert by Grammy Award winner Joy Clark with special guest Margaret Becker Sunday October 13 3:00 pm at the club in Stonecrest. This free concert is being held to help Dekalb Dems recruit volunteers to help get out the vote just as early voting will be starting for the November elections.

Joy Clark earned a Grammy Award this year for her work on the Allison Russell album The Returner. She has graced some of the most prestigious stages in the U.S. including the Ryman in Nashville Kennedy Center in Washington DC and the celebrated New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival. Clark has performed with the Black Opry Brandi Carlile The Indigo Girls Ruthie Foster Madeline Peyroux and many more. A fixture on the New Orleans music scene her first full-length album Tell It to the Wind comes out on October 4.
