Join us for a fascinating journey through space. Join University academics and step inside our inflatable planetarium as we travel through the planets and look out to the stars – we guarantee a real “wow” moment!

This special experience is inspired by our incredible 1799 celestial globe on display in Lightbulb Moments. See how people over 200 years ago imagined the night sky, with constellations shown as mythical characters, animals and curious scientific instruments.

Alongside the planetarium experience, you can get creative with a range of fun space-themed crafts inspired by the wonders of the night sky.

Please note: There are no tickets for this drop-in session. By registering, you are simply expressing your interest in attending. Spaces are allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Accessibility Information
The planetarium experience will take place on the second floor. The main passenger lift in the VG&M is currently out of service due to refurbishment works.
Our crafts and Physical Science activities are located on the ground floor which is a fully accessible space.
