*Registration is appreciated for this programJoin us for a unique, hands-on creative experience with local artist Jean, who transforms everyday and recycled materials into beautiful, handmade journals.
This isn’t traditional journaling focused on writing—instead, you will learn how to construct your own artistic books from the ground up. Using simple bookbinding techniques like the pamphlet stitch, learn how to create a journal filled with character and creativity.
Each session will introduce new ideas and themes, encouraging participants to bring in their own found materials.
Beyond bookmaking, this class is about shifting perspective—learning to notice and appreciate the hidden potential in everyday objects.
What to expect:
-Step-by-step guidance in beginner-friendly bookbinding
-Creative exploration with recycled and found materials
-Weekly opportunities to expand and personalize your journal
Materials will be provided to get started, and participants will be encouraged to bring their own interesting papers and found items to incorporate into their creations as their journal progresses.

*While this is an adult program, it is suitable for those 14+
