Jort-A-Thon - Running a Half-Marathon In Jorts To Fight Testicular Cancer

It started with a bit of banter.
We were out on one of our Forest Finisher runs when one of the lads turned up wearing shorts that looked suspiciously like denim.
The abuse started immediately.
“Mate… they’re basically jorts.” Etc etc.
Somewhere during the run, someone said:
“What if we all ran a half marathon in jorts?”
A few seconds later someone added:
“And let’s raise money to help fight testicular cancer while we’re at it.”
That was it.
Decision made.
So on Saturday 31st October, we’ll be taking on a Half Marathon in Jorts beginning at Strathclyde Park.
It’s going to be uncomfortable.
Mostly for the people who have to witness it.
But if a bunch of grown men looking daft in denim shorts helps raise money for an incredible cause and gets more people talking about men’s strength, then it’s worth every mile.
