Visit tropical Rio, home of samba and one of the world’s most beautiful cities, with tour leader Jorge Alabe.The trip includes visits to some of the great samba schools of Rio while they are in full pre-Carnaval rehearsal mode as well as a special visit to Jorge’s Candomble house, and much more. Enjoy the music, beauty, and culture of the “cidade maravilhosa” hosted by master Brazilian percussionist and proud carioca Jorge Alabê!
Tour dates:
Depart U.S. Jan. 14, arrive in Rio Jan. 15
Depart Rio Jan 24, arrive in U.S. Jan 25

* Shared rooms in apartment in Copacabana (4–5 people per apt), short walk to the beach
* Transportation from the airport on arrival on 1/15, and return to airport on 1/24

* Visit to rehearsals of top-level samba schools including, Salgueiro, Mangueira, and Vila Isabel, accompanied by tour leader Jorge Alabe
