7:30 AM – Doors Open/Check-In Begins

7:45 AM - Breakfast Buffet Opens

8:30 AM – Program Begins

Speeches by Mayor Rob O'Brian and City Manager Nick Edwards. Video presentations from the City of Joplin, Joplin Schools, Joplin Chamber of Commerce, Downtown Joplin Alliance, plus Jasper and Newton Counties.

Seating is limited to 250 guests. Tickets are only sold online and available on a first-come, first-served basis. No refunds.

Why does the City of Joplin charge admission for this event? To recover some of the cost of renting the event space at the Cornell Complex, as well as the cost of catering.
Not able to attend? No worries. Video recordings of the proceedings will be made available on the City's YouTube channel following the event. For the 2027 event, the City is also attempting to live-stream the event on YouTube (pending technical challenges). If we can successfully live-stream the 2027 event, we will be able to promote our intent to live-stream the event every year.
