PSA: OPEN MIC WILL NOT BE HELD NOVEMBER TO DECEMBER 2024 DUE TO HOLIDAYS. SEE YOU IN JANUARY!! Welcome to the Joplin Avenue open mic page! My name is Lauren, and I will be MC’ing and running your soon to be favorite day of the month! This event holds a very special place in my heart as it propelled my presence in the Joplin music scene ten fold back in 2017. It also allowed me to make new friends and excel my love for live art!
Henceforth, you should consider attending this event on Thursday, January 23rd! You could sing, drum, preform spoken word/poetry, dance, comedy, karaoke… whatever your heart desires! Not only that, but you can just attend to enjoy the event as an audience member! You have a very specific role too!
“What’s in it for me?” You may ask. Well, Joplin, I know personally how much you love your coffee. Performers will be voted on by audience members and the most popular vote will be awarded a $25 gift card! Just in time for holiday season. ;)
Happy hour BOGO 1/2 will also be extended, so your beverages during the event will be cheaper!
