Joon x Beitna Susty Bus Babes

Dear Community, Join us!

We are bringing back our bus tours for the summer, but this time with a twist. Instead of a tour, we will have a hands-on zine workshop with a musical experience by our co-hosts Beitna - Austin’s home for SWANA arts & culture.During our journey on the redline, we will be welcomed with music by Reema Barakat and Danny Kodeih. They will be playing Arabic classics with oud and percussion.

We will meet near Plaza Saltillo (exact location TBA) for 30 minutes to learn about the 2035 Transit Plan, learn how to make a zine, and then, from there, we will head to Plaza Saltillo for a 22-minute ride up north to continue our craft with musicians before we head back.

Schedule:

• 11:30 am-12 pm - Meet near Plaza Saltillo (exact location TBA)
• Walk over at 12 pm to catch the northbound redline from Plaza Statillo at 12:15 pm (5-minute walk)
• Head to Crestview Station (15 minutes total)
• Catch the southbound redline back down at 12:49 pm (waiting 19 minutes at Fat Cats Cafe)
• Head back to Plaza Saltillo, which is another 15-minute ride
