The Jonesboro Life Chain will provide a visual statement of solidarity by our local Christian community that abortion is grievously wrong and that the church Christ founded is opposed to the unmerciful killing of preborn children. Our prayerful witness is scheduled for two hours, 2:00-4:00 PM, on Sunday, October 5, 2025, and we regard it as an extension of our regular worship on the Lord’s Day. A powerful LIFE CHAIN on October 5th will offer strong encouragement and hope for reducing the number of children lost to abortion.We will hold signs up and down S Main St during our silent vigil that mourn the lives lost and bear witness to God's redeeming love. "Abortion Kills Children," "Jesus Heals & Forgives," "Adoption: The Loving Option," and "Pray to End Abortion" are among the signs we will provide to participants.
THIS IS NOT A POLITICAL RALLY. Although we encourage political involvement, the LIFE CHAIN does not engage in political theatre. We are a spiritual movement calling for Divine Intervention in the hearts of mankind that abortion would be made unpalatable and unthinkable to our community, while also serving as encouragement to fellow believers to engage further in pro-life ministry.
When faced with his own death, the disciples who joined Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane fell asleep. Jesus returned while they slept and confronted them asking, "Could you not keep watch for one hour?"
Will you ignore the call, or stand and keep this vigil for one hour?
