About the artists:

When pianist and composer Jon Cowherd—co-founder of the Grammy-winning Brian Blade & The Fellowship Band—joins forces with two of the most sought-after musicians in jazz and beyond, sparks fly. Cowherd’s lyrical touch and harmonic depth have graced projects with Joni Mitchell, Cassandra Wilson, Iggy Pop, and Rosanne Cash, and here he leads a powerhouse rhythm section for an evening of pure artistry.

At the drums is Brian Blade, a modern master whose unmistakable sound has shaped the music of Wayne Shorter, Herbie Hancock, Bob Dylan, Emmylou Harris, Chick Corea and countless others. On bass, Tony Scherr brings a deep groove and melodic sensibility honed alongside Bill Frisell, Norah Jones, Willie Nelson, and John Scofield.
