Jolly in July at Java J's!This is our SECOND community exchange! Our Holiday Exchange was such a success last year, we thought we would do it again!
WHEN: July 11th from 8am- 11:30 am!
WHERE: Java J’s Cafe- 1504 US-31 Bay Minette, AL
This summer let’s come together as a community to share what we have and help each other out!
Think of this event like a Free Yard Sale / Community Exchange — a day where people can donate clothes, household items, and other things they no longer need, and others can come “shop” for free. No money for items, no strings attached… just neighbors helping neighbors.
Monetary donations towards our mutual aid efforts are always appreciated, but not required.
We all have stuff sitting around that we don’t use anymore, and there are plenty of folks who could really use it. Or heck, it might give someone some happiness! Instead of buying more and feeding into consumerism, let’s share what’s already here and put it to good use!
What You’ll Find:
* Tables of free clothes, household items, toys, and more — take what you need!
* A “Meal in a Bag” station where folks in need can pick up a bag of ingredients for an easy meal, plus a simple recipe sheet.
* Snack Bags for kids (available until we run out)
Community Connection Table-
Since we will NOT be collecting LARGE items at this event- we’ll have a spot where people can write down something they need (like a dresser, kitchen table, etc.) along with a way to contact them. That way, if someone in our community has an extra item later on, we can help make the connection.
IF you plan to come to the event please bring your own items that you'd like to donate to the venue. If you are unable to donate, no worries at all! Come grab what you need/want!
