Join Preservation Idaho for a special journey where private homes in the Harrison Boulevard Historic District offer a rare glimpse and special access to iconic architecture and hidden histories. With the permission and generosity of the homeowners, the tour opens privately owned homes to the public, with volunteers providing historical and educational insights.

Neighborhood History
Established in the early 20th century, Harrison Boulevard, originally 17th Street, was renamed in honor of President Benjamin Harrison, who signed the Admission Act granting Idaho statehood, following his visit to Boise in 1891. Today, this iconic North End neighborhood is celebrated as one of Boise’s most distinguished historic districts. You will be treated to an exceptional collection of Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, Craftsman, and other period-style homes that showcase the city’s growth during its formative years. Renowned not only for its architectural beauty but also for its central role in Boise’s civic and social history, Harrison Boulevard continues to embody the spirit and character of the city. This year’s self-guided tour highlights the diverse homes that make this neighborhood a true Boise treasure.
