Join the Movement: Volunteer with the Chattanooga Festival of Black Arts & Ideas!
The Chattanooga Festival of Black Arts & Ideas (CFBA&I) is a community-driven, all-volunteer organization that celebrates Black creativity, culture, and heritage. We’re excited to announce that our Festival Series is expanding and we need YOU to help bring these cultural celebrations to life!
Why Volunteer?
Make an Impact: Your time and talents help uplift and amplify Black artists and the local community.
Gain Experience: Volunteer roles range from event coordination, hospitality, set-up and break-down, to social media support—great for building new skills!
Be Part of Something Bigger: Help us celebrate Black culture, foster creativity, and create meaningful connections.
We Welcome Volunteers from All Backgrounds! While our festivals highlight and honor Black culture, you do not have to be Black to volunteer. We value diversity and encourage everyone to be a part of this collective effort to strengthen and celebrate our community.
We Need Volunteers for:
Event Planning and Coordination
Stage Management and Logistics
Guest and Artist Hospitality
Marketing and Outreach
Fundraising Support
And so much more!
If you're passionate about the arts and want to contribute to something that supports and elevates our community, we want you on our team! Together, we can make the Festival Series an unforgettable celebration of Black excellence.

Let’s work together to make this year’s events even more impactful!
MISSION STATEMENT
The Chattanooga Festivals of Black Arts & Ideas exists to celebrate and elevate the rich tapestry of Black creativity by presenting, preserving, and promoting the work of both contemporary and ancestral artists across disciplines. We serve as a vibrant cultural platform that fosters artistic excellence, intergenerational dialogue, economic empowerment, and community transformation. Through year-round programming, we create intentional spaces where Black stories, traditions, and innovations are honored, amplified, and sustained for future generations.
