Cure Your Cabin Fever with old friends and new and an evening of - Cinema. Conversation. Community.

In this Emmy-nominated feature documentary, follow the half-century story of America’s civic unraveling through the journey of legendary social scientist Robert Putnam, whose groundbreaking “Bowling Alone” research into America’s decades-long decline in community connections could hold the answers to our democracy’s present crisis.

Flanked by influential fans and scholars, as well as inspiring groups building community in neighborhoods across the country, join Bob as he explores three urgent civic questions: What makes democracy work? Why is American democracy in crisis? And, most importantly… What can we do about it?

We'll be joined by representatives from area organizations who will tell you a bit about what they do and why. We hope that will encourage all of us to recommit to join with others to keep our communities alive - and thriving.

$15 suggested donation per ticket includes the light bites, short remarks from friends and the screening. Beverages and "film food", i.e. popcorn and candy will be available for purchase. Seating is limited. Advance reservations strongly encouraged.
