In 1979, Stuart Shane Sparkman filmed a no-budget, 37 minute spy movie spoof in Hazard, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio. Previously only available on potato-quality VHS, a 4k restoration will make its premiere at the central branch of the Lexington Public Library! The short film is a parody of low-budget European spy movies hastily made in the 1960s to cash in on the James Bond craze, poorly dubbed into English and shipped to America. The title is Love Means Never Having to Say You're Dead, but is often called Crem for short, after the protagonist, Secret Agent John Crem.
Some of the original cast will be in attendance. Dressing up in suits and sunglasses is optional but encouraged!
