Jogging Paws Dog Walk/Run Club Meetup- Edwin Warner Park

Jogging Paws is Nashville’s free, community-centered dog walk/run club, meeting every Sunday at 8 AM at various parks across the city! We proudly choose Greenway trail locations for the space, safety, and comfort they provide — no cars, no cramped sidewalks, just open paths perfect for dogs who need room to breathe, explore, and enjoy.

Jogging Paws is more than a meetup — it’s a community. You and your dog will make new friends, meet dog sitters and walkers (great for last-minute needs!), and connect with a network of dog lovers all over Nashville. We regularly host fun dog-friendly events, featuring local dog trainers, photographers, pet businesses, giveaways, and more — supporting your pups and supporting local small dog-centered businesses.

All paces welcome: walkers, joggers, runners

All dogs welcome: all breeds, ages, sizes, mobility levels

If your pup uses a stroller, wheels, or needs extra accommodations — bring them. They are welcome here.

At every meetup, we start by forming a circle for introductions. You’ll share you and your dog’s names and anything helpful for the group to know — anxiety triggers, space needs, behavior cues — so we can support you and your dog. We listen. We do not judge.

Then we divide into walkers and runners, and head out for 1–3 miles. Your dog sets the pace. Your dog leads the way. If they get tired, simply turn back — we always reunite at the starting point.

Please bring:

• Required: 6-ft leash or shorter (no retractables)

• Water (for you + your dog)

• Poop bags

• Optional but highly suggested: dog treats

• Optional: collapsible water bowl, carrier backpack

If you’re new, please allow about 5 feet of space between your dog and others as they acclimate. Parallel walking is a great way for dogs to warm up socially.

It’s free, it’s fun, it’s friendly — just sign the waiver, check the schedule, and show up.

Info: Circle up and introduce yourself and your dog/s. Please take this time to share as much about your dog as he/she needs to be successful at this meetup and around new humans and dogs he/she has never met before.

Info: Line up to take a group photo. Keep at least 5 ft between each dog especially dogs who have never met before. Tighten leashes and keep them no more than one foot from you.

Info: You don't have to stick to one group. You can start out running and then switch to walking. It really doesn't matter, we just want you to always have someone familiar with you. Let your dog/s set the pace.
