Joel Nelson is a musician and composer from Alabama, currently living in Portland Oregon, whose work explores the intersections of folk tradition, experimental sound, and electronic music. He performs on guitar, bagpipe, electronics, and generator organ. Tonight he will be performing works from the upcoming posthumous release As I Slowly Slip Into The Sky (Pre Order) by Birmingham poet and artist Johnny Coley, in honor of his memory and legacy.
