Shinbukan Dojo Bulgaria and The Bulgarian Kendo Federation Invites you to Jodo and Iaido seminar that will be held from 28th of February to 1st of March 2026 in Sofia (Bulgaria).
The seminar will be performed under the direction of Rene van Amersfoort Sensei (Jodo 8 dan Kyoshi, Iaido 7 dan Kyoshi) and with assistance of: Ognjan Kozsuharov Sensei (Iaido 6 dan Renshi and Jodo 6 dan Renshi) and Leonid Karavaev Sensei (Iaido 6 dan Renshi).

13:00−15:00 – Jodo training
15:00−16:00 – Jodo examinations till 1 dan
16:00−18:00 – Jodo training

* Those that practice Iaido only will have extra Iaido practice during the regular Jodo classes with Rene van Amersfoort sensei on Saturday!

Everyone will practice Iaido on Sunday!
Please keep in mind the starting and ending hours of the event might be subject to change and could eventually be moved 1 hour earlier due to the sport hall's availability!
Participants will be notified in advance!
Trainings will be performed in “Sportna Sofia” sport hall (Sofia, Zone B-5, Bulgarian lawn Str. № 2). GPS coordinates: 42.694295, 23.304682.
For participants from the country and abroad we can recommend a hotel!
Please confirm your participation for the seminar till 15 February 2026!
All participants from foreign countries who will take examinations have to be registered by their national federations via EKF electronic system (EKF website) till 15 February 2026!
Participation fee:
80 euro (for the whole seminar) or 50 euro (for Jodo only)
Examination fee:
1 dan – 15 euro (grading fee) + 20 euro (register fee)
2 dan – 20 euro (grading fee) + 30 euro (register fee)
3 dan – 30 euro (grading fee) + 50 euro (register fee)
