In today's Canadian society, our expectations of work are changing and our workplaces need to adapt. This book will help you understand your role as a change agent and answer the question "How can I best contribute to transforming my workplace to work better for everyone?"
Active Allyship is a practical guide to creating inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplaces in Canada. Through practical, evidence-based strategies and real stories from eight active allies (Bai Bintou Kaira, Jessica Vandenberghe, Kim Hanson, Leanne Holtvogt, Philippe Lepage, Rob Jackson, Susan Lomas, and Stryker Calvez), this book guides you in advancing Truth and Reconciliation, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Whether you're just starting or deep into your journey, this book helps you take meaningful action so that workplaces can work better for everyone.
Dr. Jocelyn Peltier-Huntley, P.Eng. is a professional engineer turned equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) consultant with over 20 years of experience leading change. After 13 years in the mining industry, she founded Prairie Catalyst Consulting to help organizations build inclusive cultures that unlock innovation and potential.
