Jobs for Life (JfL) CORE Training -November 8-9, 2024 (ONLINE)

Get equipped with strategies, tools, and resources to help people find and keep meaningful work in your community.

In this virtual training event, led by experienced Jobs for Life leaders from around the country, you will learn the necessary steps to plan, start and sustain a work-readiness class, through Jobs for Life, in your community. Through interactive group discussions and challenging exercises, you will be led through Biblical principles, proven strategies and real life applications that assist you in building Gospel-centered relationships with people in your community and helping them to find and keep meaningful work.

NOTE: JfL CORE Training is required to be authorized to facilitate a JfL class or PfL class. For new sites that have never led a JfL class, a minimum of two team members from your organization must be in attendance.

Key Features of this training:

• A step-by-step action plan to implement a Jobs for Life class (for youth and/or adults) in your community
• Strategies and tools to recruit and retain participants, your leadership team, volunteers, businesses, and community partners
• A focus on Biblical principles and a theology of work
• Opportunities to connect with other ministry leaders

JFL CORE ESSENTIALS (FRIDAY NIGHT ONLY), explores the values, principles, and key goals of Jobs for Life. It is intended for those who are seeking a greater understanding of Jobs for Life and/or are continuing to explore whether it will fit within the context of their organization. (DOES NOT PROVIDE CERTIFICATION TO LEAD A CLASS)

• SITE LEADER TRAINING - Saturday, November 9th 8:30AM-4:30PM

COMPLETION OF JfL CORE ESSENTIALS REQUIRED TO REGISTER FOR THIS TRAINING

SITE LEADER TRAINING (SATURDAY ONLY), is for those who have previously attended JfL CORE ESSENTIALS (Friday Night) and are now seeking to hold their first JfL class. You and your team will be guided through the necessary steps to plan, start and sustain a Jobs for Life class at your church or organization and help you prepare men and women for meaningful work in your community. (PROVIDES CERTIFICATION TO LEAD A CLASS for an organization where 2 people have PREVIOUSLY ATTENDED CORE ESSENTIALS)
